Este projeto busca articular os conhecimentos técnicos e teóricos circulantes na Universidade Federal de Santa Maria com a iniciativa e recursos privados e do poder público municipal, aqui representado pela Prefeitura Municipal de Santa Maria e por sua Secretaria de Município de Cultura de Santa Maria, para salvaguardar um acervo já muito prejudicado formado por documentos e livros da biblioteca do Clube Caixeiral.
